Bread was broken today.
Broken by Laurie, our host.
By sharing this bread
He shared a part of himself.
And we in turn
Shared ourselves.
Eating bread with one another,
Home made bread, whole wheat bread,
In poetic, joyous laughter,
We were made whole.
