Bus Sightings

When I'm feeling homesick it's not a sound
Sight or smell I miss, but a chance to roam
Streets, seeing sights from my movable home
As the wheels of the bus go round and round.

Folks in New York City have always found
Traveling together, time flies in a bus
They visit and talk, sightseeing's a plus
As the wheels of the bus go round and round.

From my window seat, as we cover ground,
I see sunsets, stars, snow, seasonal lights
I enjoy at ease ever-changing sights
As the wheels of the bus go round and round.

People on the bus are the best around
Always helpful, hearty, friendly, chatty
As they tell of their lives in the city
As the wheels of the bus go round and round.

Bus drivers are guardian angels who've found
Lost tourists, lost souls, lost children and yet
Leisurely they'll chat with riders at night
As the wheels of the bus go round and round.
