The sun radiates heat to the earth below.
So mother takes her baby out
For a summer stroll.

The warm air evokes a need
For something cold to beat the heat.

The ice cream parlor provides the answer
An ice cream cone for mother and child.

So satisfying. So tasty. So refreshingly cool.
The dilemma is how
To introduce this delicacy
To her baby boy now.

His eyes look quizzically at the cone.
His hands touch the cone experimentally.
His tongue licks the ice cream slowly.
His face becomes a creamy grin.

A miracle has taken place.
He has experienced relief from the heat.
Good tasting relief through ice cream in a cone.
