A Limerick

by

Anne Yanchyshyn

As writers, we are no great Charles Dickens,
But good grammar could make far more hearts quicken:
"Tween you and I" is taboo —
Only "'Tween you and me" will do.
Watch your p's and q's when you pick 'em.

So let's all get on this grammar mission,
For "between" is a preposition.
The objective case "me"
Is needed here, you see —
At least, that's the word from Yanchission.
(Yanchition?)
