On My Way

(Assignment: A poem to include the words: caress, affable, incline)

I thought my fifty years
  a haze
Beset by dreams
	   demands
		desires
		   delays
			delights
			   doubts
That confused me always.
Unable to retrace
I found space small
Where I'd crawl
	on my way
with lessons	burdens
To the next phase.
Free to choose
When brought to bay
   reflect
	heal
	   wonder
	      pray
My path a labyrinth,
		no grave maze
Hope guides me
		on my way.
