Luscious Smells

Open the back door, and what wonderful smells
Float out to greet you and draw you inside.
Spaghetti sauce bubbling, so lusciously red,
Onion and garlic and sharp Parmesan,
Crusty bread, olives and dry red wine,
Steaming pasta and friends to greet.
Thank you, Lord, for the food we eat.
