To members of the

Alex Domokos

Thank you for the bygone years
for open laughs and hidden tears.
For sparkling wit and hearty jokes
forgetting our daily chores.
Camaraderie, open and bold
is rarity in present world.
I landed here as nobody,
a refugee whose destiny
was to flee his native land.
Difficult it is to understand
what it means to be a refugee,
to live in fear, ready to flee...
That is now gone. I turn the page
since I have reached the golden age.
Thanks should be my last sentence.
