(In reply to your question,)
yes I have another name it is ( propranolol ) 20 MG tablets one tab 3x a day.
Hi again ... you had me beat for a moment - the correct spelling is inderal.
From your description you are being treated for a cardiac arrythmia - the drug you have been prescribed, a so-called beta-blocker, is appropriate. I'm no cardiologist so can't comment on the type of arrythmia you have - there are several types with several causes.
Depending on the diagnosis will depend the appropriate dosage. For supraventricular arrythmias (affecting the atrium or the connecting links with the ventricle) the usual effective dosage is 10-40 mg. three or four times a day. For ventricular arrythmias (affecting the ventricle) a very much higher dosage of 320 mg. per day or greater is required. If anything, taking a dose every six hours is more effective than thrice a day.
If your arrythmia is of the first type, your dosage of 60 mg. per day is quite modest; if of the second type, your dosage is likely to have little or no effect.
Since it's seems from your description that your symptoms are not
being adequately controlled with the dosage you are currently taking, you
should meet with your cardiologist to discuss the diagnosis and treatment.
Best wishes.
