Questions and Answers
Can a child be a different blood type than both parents? Example both parents are type A and the child is type B?
Hi Amy ... Yes.
Whatever blood group turns up in an individual depends, of course, on the blood group of the parents. The genetics of the groupings are fairly simple and depend on the nature of each parent's group, whether homo- or hetero- zygous.
