- My husband has asthma and takes prednisone about twice a year. He has been on this theraphy for the last four years. He has swelling , mostly in the neck and face. His shirt size has gone from a 15 1/2 to 17 1/2. This has lowered his self esteem. My question.. how can he reduce the face swelling and puffeyness.

- ... sorry to hear about your husband's problem.
You don't give details about your husband's prednisone dosage ...
twice a year would be a very small exposure. However, if the effects you
describe are a consequence of the use of this drug, then the alternatives
are either to modify the dosage and/or route of administration, or drop
prednisone in favour of some other type of pharmacological control - both of these under his physician's guidance.
Best wishes.
