Can you please tell me if cancer can develop as a result of
Diverticulitus ?

quick answer, no ... individuals with diverticulitis under proper
control have no greater chance of developing a tumour than any other member
of the population ... indeed, with greater control of diet, their chances
may be even better.
One important thing ... because of similarity in symptoms, on
initial diagnosis colon cancer must be ruled out before arriving at a
diagnosis of diverticulitis.
