I would appreciate your opinion on the possibility that a contributory cause to Diverticulitus is stress.

Earlier this year I underwent an operation for a Diverticulitus condition some 5 months after retiring from work due to the onset of severe panic attacks following an 18 month period during which my work place was "restructured".

Your opinion would be valued,

I'm no physician, but none of my texts or reference sources states that stress is a contributory cause of Diverticulitis.
