Seniors' Home Pages
There are many seniors on the 'net who are very skilled at
computing. Often those who have I.A.S. (Internet Addiction Syndrome - it's
a joke, get it!) end up creating a home page. These pages express the
interests and desire to share information to others on the
'net.If you wish to
,
provide your URL and what description you would
like used on this page. Richard's personal/vanity
page.
- The Diesel Gypsy This is a page about Trucking, --- My 50 years and millions of miles over the road, along with stories and photos from that time in my life. To some, it may not be of interest, but to others it may fascinate. To me it was a great experience, and I would not change it one bit. Except to perhaps do it all over again. I was not an astronaut, nor was I a genius of any sort. I was not schooled to any degree. I did have a lot of bad times, but the good times and fun outweighed the latter.
- PLAYER PIANO REBIRTH by Terry Smthye In recognition that original paper player piano music rolls are
rapidly disintegrating due to age, Terry Smythe has built a
unique scanner to capture the content of these rolls into
digital format (midi), aimed at preservation of their content
into perpetuity. Sets the stage for a significant rebirth
for the venerable player piano, an artifact out of musical
antiquity.
- Grandma on the Net I am 65 years old and the webpage is about food, Iceland and also links to all kinds of homepages.
- Patricia Beach by
Bernd Riegel I'm retired and as so many seniors I discovered the
computer as an interesting hobby. Right from the very beginning I was
fascinated by animations, applets and things which move. Since I had no
previous experience with computers it was a hard and long way, to figure
all these things out, but I did it all by myself. My web site shows you,
what you can do, when you set your mind to it. When you look at it, please
be patient, because it takes some time for all those things to load.
